Day 24 of 90

This last 10 days or so has been extremely educational. I have learned and still learning the art of making home probiotics and digestive enzymes and fixing my internal systems.

Less than 2 weeks I see and feel an amazing difference.

Did you know that wheat causes your brain not to see your fat cells? When you eliminate wheat from your diet, your brain will see your fat cells and naturally reduce your appetite.

By eating and drinking my home fermented/probiotic rich foods and drinks, I am helping my immune system and my gut flora.

I am naturally detoxing with bentonite Clay and diatomaceous earth.

The Clay and earth are amazing! I am also detoxing with activated charcoal.

Today I am 207 pounds and closer to my goal than ever before because I am fixing my insides and the outside is following suit. My skin is softer, I can see clear. My brain fog is gone. My chronic pain is gone. And no I am waiting for the sun spots to fade away.

Day 16 of 90 amazing fermented results

I have been trying a new way of getting healthy, getting healthy from the inside out. I apparently have been doing it the wrong way. You cannot get healthy from the outside in. But what is healthy anyway?

Our ancestors found a way to hijack bacteria and make them work for us. 80% of them live in our gut. They help break down our foods and release many vitamins and minerals we need to survive. We use them as our immune system against other bacteria.

Since the world has 85% good bacteria and 15% bad bacteria, we will always have the upper hand. However, we get all these beneficial bacteria from the foods we eat. Fermented foods in particular.

Fermenting foods and drinks protected our foods from the bad bacteria which allowed us to store many foods for long periods of time. Since the invention of the refrigerator, we no longer had to ferments our foods.

Interesting since the invention of the refrigerator, and the changing of the way we preserve foods, we have been getting sick  and fat.

So, I am repopulating myself with beneficial bacteria to see if that helps regulate my bodies system and hormones.

So far, it is working. I am naturally more energetic, less hungry and crave more fermented foods and drinks. Lots of probiotics and digestive enzymes.

Since we know we have a minimum requirements of fats and proteins, I am making sure my diet has a lot of good proteins and fats.

Interesting however, there is no minimum dietary minimums for carbohydrates or sugars. Therefore I will eliminate both.

I so far have dropped 8 pounds and 2 inches from my waistline.

I think this may be the key to true health and fitness.

Day five of 90

Last night when I came home, I was tired. For some reason, no matter what I tell myself… I always seem to grab a snack cake. I'm controllable urges that I just cannot shake.  I tell myself, this will not give me washboard abs, I don't need this, sugar is bad for me, it's feeding the bad bacteria in my gut, and as I am telling myself this, I am eating and enjoying. What is wrong with me?

My wife says, why don't you just take a shower and go to bed when you come home? That is a good question wife, I don't know why I do not.

We discussed alternative foods. I was thinking eating chicken breast and some sort of probiotics like sauerkraut or something fermented. We will see if that will help my cravings at night.

The funny thing is, they are not really hunger cravings, because I am not hungry. They seem to be just urges to eat.

My wife is going to pick up some chicken breasts at the store today and cook them up in the oven so I have something to eat tonight when I come home. If I did the chicken breast and some of my fermented veggies, and I going to bed, that may help these "zombie eating urges"

If you have figured out a way to stop these crazy night time feedings… Please leave a comment let me know. Thank you for reading my blog

Day 4 of 90 natural probiotics

Have you ever bought probiotics from the store? Yogurt, Kiefer, Kombucha tea, probiotics in a pill form?

I seen acidophilus pills that contain 1 billion cultures. Yesterday at whole foods, I saw a refrigerated probiotic at 400 billion.

Lots of different types of probiotic strains.

Sorry that it sideways, I will try to fix that.

But did you know that you could put your favorite veggies in a mason jar with a little bit of sea salt and filtered water and in 7 to 14 days, one serving of your veggies would have about 10 trillion cultures?

Did you know you could make your own yogurt at home?

Did you know that you could make your home brewed Kombucha tea? Any flavor you want and eight hon of probiotics?

Did you know that you could make your own root beer ginger ale that were actually good for you and for probiotics?

I assume if you are reading this post, you have had some idea or you are growing your own cultures and looking for more ideas.

This is my homegrown culture. This is called a Kombucha scoby mother.

Over the course of the next 90 days, I will be learning in showing you how to ferments all of your fruits, veggies, meats and fish… Sourdough starter for your bread along with healthy pancakes, and even homemade ginger ale, root beer with a ginger bug starter.

Starting on 15 April, my blogs will be mostly videos explaining in showing the cool ways to ferment and culture your own probiotics :-)

Day 3 of 90 making time

GThe millionaires and billionaires and all the successful people in the world have the same amount of time that I have. Why are they so successful? Where did they find the time? Studies have shown that the successful people understand time management. If you do not manager time, you have no time.

Over the next 90 days, I would like to be an expert at time management.

The reason I need to be an expert in time management is because I want to go back to college. It will be difficult, but going to college full time and working full-time and having a family will be difficult.

I really want to mimic what millionaires and billionaires do.

I have a calendar, and will schedule out my day. If I have free time, I really need to work on my book.

I know most people hate to write things down. They hate to write what they ate, what they're going to do, what they did, etc. so how do you time management? You have to write things down. What is the reason you hate to write things down?

A lot of people hate to write things down because they know that watching TV or going out with friends is a big waste of time but they really want to continue. I think what most people forget or do not realize is the amount of time they spend on frivolous things that will never move them forward in life.

I have to admit, that has been myself for a long time. I know millionaires and billionaires they schedule every second of every day. It seems like a lot of tedious work, but over the next 90 days that is exactly what I'm going to do.

First and foremost, I have to schedule my sleep. Sleep is so incredibly important. We all know that. So let's start with scheduling at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night.

Second, everyone has to work. So block off your work schedule.

Family and friends are extremely important. So schedule some quality time with them.

Now what do you have left over? I bet you have a lot of time and a lot of space left on your calendar. How do you normally fill that gap?

If you normally watch TV, go party or just "relax", then you can see how many hours a day/week/year you do not help yourself move forward in life. A complete eye-opener for myself.

Find six core things in life you love and write them down. This is my list:

Six core things in life to focus on and forget everything else. These things should be your life driving force.

1. Family/retirement/investments
Happiness of my family, saving money for retirement

2. Health
Mind, body, soul

3. Nutrition
Continuing knowledge of everything nutrition

4. Travel adventure
Adventure dates, social gatherings

5. Knowledge
Continuing knowledge through college, classes or certificates

6. Contributing to the world beyond myself in a meaningful way

Once you have your six core values/items, figure out what you can do to make them a reality/every day values.

I opened an IRA and love investing money. The more money I can invest today, worth I retire.  I can put away $10,000 this year and it will be worth almost $100,000 when I retire at 65.

Putting my money in a bank would never make me that much money. Invest wisely.

Health is extremely important to me. Without health, when I retire, I will be miserable. Think and do healthy things now to make your golden years extremely find an athletic.

Nutrition is very important to me also. When I put in my mouth helps me prepare and keep my body young and healthy. Also, anything I put on my skin gets absorbed into my body so I have to be very careful about internal and external nutrition.

Traveling an adventure is right up my alley. I cannot imagine going one month without doing something adventurous. Just because I have a venture and travel requirements does not mean it has to bust the bank. Going to the park and playing disc golf for free is an adventure!

Knowledge is power… Actually putting your knowledge into action is the real power. I plan on going to college and taking at least one class per semester for the rest of my life.

If you do not contribute beyond yourself in a meaningful way, you feel like you're dying inside.  By helping others and helping others achieve their goals, you will achieve your goals.

Now I have something to fill all those holes in my calendar.

Time to get started. Write down your six core values/things you want to achieve in your life and get a calendar.

Please comment and let me know what else we can do to make life more manageable.

Day 2 of 90 The truth about fiber

Fiber is good, correct?

The more research I do, the more things I thought were good end up not being so good.

It turns out that fiber is non-digestible to humans. However, it is a delicious food source for bacteria and other microbes.

Before I go on, just in case you did not know, the human body has about 1 trillion cells. However, there are about 10 trillion bacteria in humans that live with us in our bodies. They play a vital role on our health has 80% of them live in our gut. These are the pro biotic bacteria that help us digest and maintain health. Without them, we would die.

So it only makes sense to feed them. Fiber is a delicious food they love to eat.

Now here is the kicker. If you have a great balance of 85% good bacteria to 15% bad bacteria, fiber keeps you very healthy. However, fiber feeds all bacteria and microbes equally. So if you have more of the bad bacteria, and your sick all the time, Fiber is feeding your sickness. Fiber will keep you sick and unwell.

Nine times out of 10, if you are overweight, you're good bacteria to bad good bacteria is not correct. Fiber is just making you sick. And fat.

The first thing we need to do is to repopulate our gut with good bacteria/probiotics. Probiotics is a term for the good gut bacteria/flora that keeps us healthy and helps digest food.

A good detox is lots of vegetables. Egg whites helps detoxify your body of heavy metals.

Sugar also feeds the bad bacteria. So avoid soft drinks, and any processed sugars or carbohydrates.

Fermented foods as in pickles, sauerkraut and kimchi are full of probiotics. Plain yogurt is an outstanding source of probiotics. However, do not get the fruit or sweet yogurt.

The fun part, is we can ferment and grow our own pro biotics for free at home.

The world, the air, the water and everything around us has a ratio of 85% good bacteria to 15% bad bacteria. Salts/salt water usually kills off the 15% bad bacteria. That's why things are salted to keep them fresh safe to eat.

In a glass mason jar, a couple teaspoons of organic sea salt to filtered water… Add any vegetables and seal tightly… The good bacteria on all your vegetables will start to multiply and colonize creating a lot of probiotics. One serving of fermented home foods has about 10 trillion probiotics.

So when you get probiotics in tablet form at the store, and it has 1 billion probiotics. You are not really getting a lot and it costs so much.

Once you take the 30 day probiotic challenge, you can resume eating a fruit for a snack and the fiber in that Apple, pear, banana or whatever you wanted to eat, is more than enough fiber for your good probiotic bacteria to make you extremely healthy.

The moral of the story is, if you have 85% good bacteria in your body, the 15% will never grow and you will never get sick. That's a proven fact.

Bad food note

I always prepare my own foods no matter what my wife and kids eat however, last night I decided on eating a bit of Mac n cheese with my meal.  Almost immediately my heart started racing and could feel my heart pressure in my ears.

It's so loud to me that I can not sleep and am here at 430am writing this do I do not forget this experience.

This was the boxed Mac n cheese.

I will have to make some gluten free Mac n real cheese to see if I have the same reaction.
